Classic Detroit Graffiti at Sherrard and Brietmeyer Elementary Schools

Classic Detroit Graffiti at Sherrard & Brietmeyer Elementary Schools #1You won’t find these classic works of Detroit graffiti we photographed back in September of 2009 anywhere but here in the pages of I Love Detroit Michigan. They once graced the rear exterior walls of Detroit’s Henry Gary Sherrard and Brietmeyer Elementary Schools on Cameron Street between Clay and Wellington, but both structures were demolished in 2010. Back when they were standing, the back sides of both structures abutted southbound Interstate-75, affording the artists some of the highest visibility they’ve most likely ever experienced. Click here and here to see more work by the artist featured at the top of this post, “Riky”. ~I♥DM
