Detroit Graffiti at 10835 E. Jefferson Avenue

Detroit Graffiti near 10835 E. Jefferson Ave #1We’re not sure what to say about this new Detroit graffiti at 10835 E. Jefferson Avenue. Do we congratulate the artist for his (her?) clever appropriation and adaptive re-use of the commercial art found on the exterior walls of the defunct Motor City Yacht Club? Or do we express our intense contempt for the vandal who defaced the clubhouse of an active organization? Our research leads us to believe that the building is abandoned and the club disbanded, so we’re going to go ahead and give “Ving” the benefit of the doubt. Find the piece by “Elmer” on the east side of the building. The work by “Mince” is somewhere nearby, but we can’t remember exactly where. Happy hunting! ~I♥DM
