Detroit Graffiti near East Grand Boulevard and Russell Street

Grand Blvd and Russell Graffiti 3Detroit graffiti abounds in the city’s Milwaukee Junction neighborhood, always. Who knows how old the six works we present here might be. Find the first two signatures in our album, “Stori” and “Chaos”, on the facade of the building at 1313 Milwaukee Street. The works seen in the third, fourth and fifth photos, by “Agent”, “Purge” and “Naked” respectively, can all be found on the walls of the building on the southeast corner of East Grand Boulevard and Russell Street. Lastly, the sixth piece in our album and this post’s featured work, another beauty by “Chaos”, can be found on the north side of Milwaukee Street at the terminus of Orleans. ~I♥DM

    How to commission work?

Wish I could tell you, JB, but I know none of these artists personally. Many of them try to keep as low a profile as possible since the legality of their work is sometimes questionable. If I really wanted to try to make contact with one of them to try to commission a work, I would start by Googling their street names and see what kind of results I got. One or two of them might have on online presence through which you might be able to make contact. Good luck.

You can try contacting Derek Weaver of the Grand River Creative Corridor at this website:

Derek manages the GRCC, a legal venue for spray painting masters from Detroit and throughout the world. If anyone can put you in contact with a first rate Detroit graffiti artist, it’s him.
