More New Detroit Graffiti in and around Eastern Market

More New Graffiti in Eastern Mkt 15 2You can nearly always find new Detroit graffiti in and around the city’s Eastern Market District and today’s no different. Find the first six pieces in our latest batch of discoveries on the south side of Wilkins Street, on the facade of the very first building east of the bridge over the planned extension of the Dequindre Cut Greenway Trail. Head a couple hundred feet more to the east, just short of St. Aubin, where, within a fenced-in lot directly across the street from Edison Public School Academy, you’ll see the works shown in photos 7-13 of our album. Gaze directly upon the aforementioned fence to see one of the most unique works of Detroit street art we’ve discovered anywhere in the metro area over the last couple of years, shown in our album’s 14th photo, and entitled, we think, “HOT TEA”. Find the work depicted in shot #15 pasted upon the south-facing exterior wall of 1501 Division Street, where you can also get a close-up look at the jaw-dropping collaborative work of graffiti-style street art we covered back in May, in our post entitled “New Detroit Graffiti in Eastern Market at Riopelle & Division“. Finally, find the 16th work showcased in our album on Erskine about halfway between Riopelle and Division. Look for an opening in the fence that encloses the seemingly abandoned structure on the street’s north side, just a tiny bit to the east of the “NYCHOS” and “CHAOS” signatures we covered in our post from September entitled “New Detroit Graffiti in and around Eastern Market“. Once inside the fence line you’ll easily be able to locate this lovely by “ALWAYS”. ~I♥DM
