New Detroit Graffiti at Brewster-Wheeler Recreation Center

100_2184I Love Detroit Michigan loves to park for free in Brush Park when going to see the first place Detroit Tigers Baseball Team, but be warned: we have witnessed, on more than one occasion, stranded Tiger fans awaiting the police after a game to fill out the necessary stolen vehicle paperwork. The closer you are to US-75 & John R the better and more likely your car’ll still be there after the game. Not driving a Lexus might also help. In any case, park in this area at your own risk…and get a closer look at this new Detroit Graffiti on the walls of the defunct Brewster-Wheeler Recreation Center at your own risk, too. You can get a decent view from your car while searching for that elusive Brush Park parking spot by putting “650 Wilkins St, Detroit, MI” into your ride’s GPS. Take note of the completely vacant and windowless Brewster-Douglass housing projects while cruising around this neighborhood, and wonder like we do, why they were ever built and why they’re no longer inhabited? Anyone…anyone…Bueller? ~I♥DM
