New Detroit Street Art near Woodward Avenue and Grand River

Detroit Street Art near Woodward and Grand River 3Find these new works of Detroit street art downtown, in the immediate vicinity of Woodward Avenue and Grand River. The first shot in our album and this post’s featured photo is located on the east wall of Biegas Gallery/PuppetArt Theater at 25 East Grand River. We presume it to be follow up to the “Marry Me Tizzie?” mural painted on the 2700 block of Orleans Street in Eastern Market just last Spring. Step back across the street and look up to see a sweet painting by “Revok” that covers the lower half of a commercial-sized billboard mounted on the roof of the same building. Now head one block to the west and walk just a half-block north to approximately 1440 Woodward to see the last two works in this post’s album, large street art-style paintings on canvas by two of Detroit’s own, “Malt aka BrownBagDetroit” and “Melo“, on display behind glass as the latest installation of the “Woodward Windows” public art campaign initiated cooperatively in 2011 by Detroit’s Street Culture Mash and 323 Gallery. ~I♥DM
