DJ Hyperactive @ Exodus Rooftop, Detroit, 5-22-2014

DJ Hyperactive at Exodus FlyerMovement‘s 2014 party season kicked off in grand fashion last night, as Detroit’s first round of festival-goers enjoyed an assault to the ears (see video below) courtesy of Chicago techno grandmaster, DJ Hyperactive aka Joe Manumaleuna, in the open-air of the beautifully remodeled DJ Hyperactive at Exodus Chuck Flask 1DJ Hyperactive at Exodus with Gabe RealDJ Hyperactive at Exodus Tim BakerExodus Rooftop Lounge at 529 Monroe in Detroit’s Greektown. An hour of solid selecting and mixing by local luminary Chuck Flask warmed up an enthusiastic crowd of about 250 to 300 hipsters and wanna-bes, before full-on Caligulan excesses commenced around 12:30 am, when DJ Hyperactive at Exodus 1the evening’s main attraction hit the decks. Windy City glitterati came out in force, including but not limited to a sweet semi-celebrity sighting of former Ann Arborite, Tim Baker (Who remembers “Elephantaus” and “The Spot”?!?). Those who know will tell you: DJ Hyperactive plays Movement’s Underground Stage from 5 to 6:30 pm on Monday, May 25th. Continue to enjoy the best of Detroit’s house and techno scene, brought to you by Detek and B>Bionic, on the Exodus Rooftop every Thursday night throughout the Summer. ~I♥DM
