Miami Graffiti and Street Art

Miami Street Art 27Back in 2010 I Love Detroit Michigan had the great fortune of discovering one of the most righteous installations of graffiti and street art we’ve ever encountered in one place. This three square block area, bounded on the east and west by 5th and 6th Ave, and on the north and south by 26th and 23rd St respectively, appears to be the very epicenter of the Miami graffiti scene. Frankly, we’d be shocked and awed to find a better group of tags concentrated in such a small area anywhere in North America. Our research tells us that these walls are frequently repainted and the likelihood that these beauties still exist hovers around nil. Nevertheless, should you choose to seek this site out, we’re nearly certain you’ll find a new batch of masterworks in their place. To find this open-air gallery, head north away from downtown on Miami Ave. When you get to 23rd St hang a left, head west and make a few jogs until you hit 6th Ave. Don’t forget the cam, fool. You’re welcome. ~I♥DM
