Movement 2016: 15 Performances
Are we prepared to call it a triumphant return to form? No, we are not. As if waiting six months to publish a review didn’t make that plain enough. Movement 2016 was good, but imperfect. We could bore you with a list of mostly inconsequential blemishes, but we won’t. We’d much rather tell you that, despite its shortcomings, Movement 2016 was far, far better than Movement 2015. Enough said. And now to the videos….. Our top recommendations: Kenny “Dope” Gonzalez, Danny Tenaglia, Justin Martin and, of course, their fully automated opening number, “We Are The Robots”, by the top-billed German techno legends, Kraftwerk. Enjoy. ~I♥DM
